Professor Nikolaos G. Nikitakis received his DDS and MD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Greece and his PhD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), USA. He is Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (ABOMP) and Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP) and the American Academy of Oral Medicine (AAOM). He has also completed a sabbatical in the School of Dentistry and MD Anderson Cancer Center in the University of Texas, Houston (UTH), USA.

Prof. Nikitakis is currently the Dean (2022-present), as well as Professor and Chair (2018-present), Department of Oral Medicine & Pathology and Hospital Dentistry, in the School of Dentistry, NKUA.

He is Past President and member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM), in which he served as Secretary General (2014-2018) and President (2018-2021). He is also currently President of the Hellenic Association of Oral Medicine and Pathology (HAOMP) (2015-present).

His clinical interests include the clinical and histopathologic diagnosis and management of oral and maxillofacial diseases, while his research endeavors primarily focus on oral, head and neck oncology/cancer research.

He has over 275 papers and 200 abstracts published in scientific journals, with approximately 4.000 citations and h index: 37 on Scopus and 6.600 citations and h index: 46 on Google Scholar. He is author of a textbook in Contemporary Oral Medicine and Pathology and of several chapters in other textbooks and handbooks. He serves in the Editorial Board of various scientific journals.

He has presented and lectured extensively in national and international meetings and has been invited as Visiting Professor/Lecturer in several Universities in Europe and America. For his scientific work, he has received several honors and awards.

He was the Chair of the Scientific Committee of the AAOM-EAOM Joint Meeting in Las Vegas, USA in May 2025, and will serve as President of the EAOM-AAOM Joint Meeting with Global Participation in Athens, Greece in September 2027.

Prof. Dr. Hare Gursoy, graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2001. In the same year, she began her PhD at the Marmara University, Faculty of Dentistry Department of Periodontology. In 2006, she began working as a lecturer in the Department of Periodontology at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry. In 2007, she received the title of Assistant Professor, in 2015 she became an Associate Professor, and in March 2021, she received the title of Professor. In 2021, she was selected by Eczacıbaşı to complete the Biogaia ACADEMY Experts program in Sweden and received her diploma as a "probiotic expert." Professor Hare GURSOY, who has numerous national and international publications, served as the coordinator of the Periodontology Program accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology between 2016 and 2023 (April), as the associate editor of the Yeditepe Dental Journal, as a member of the Scientific Board of Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry, and as a member of the scientific committee at the CED-IADR congress in 2017 and 2019. As of September 2023, she is continuing her academic career at the Saglik Bilimleri University, Hamidiye Dentistry Faculty, Department of Periodontology. She is a member of the Turkish Periodontology Society, a member of the European Federation of Periodontology, a board member of the Turkish Dental Laser Academy Association, and a delegate to the Turkish Dental Association (TDB). She is currently the scientific chair of the Turkish Dental Association.

Αποφοίτησε από την Οδοντιατρική Σχολή της Αθήνας ΕΚΠΑ, το 1992. Το 2000 ολοκλήρωσε το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Ειδίκευσης στην Παθοβιολογία Στόματος του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος Σπουδών της Οδοντιατρικής Σχολής του ΕΚΠΑ και το παράλληλο πρόγραμμα Κλινικής Ειδίκευσης Χειρουργικής Στόματος. Το 2009 αναγορεύθηκε Διδάκτορας της Οδοντιατρικής Σχολής ΕΚΠΑ. Dr. Andreas Agouropoulos is Assistant Professor at the Department of Paediatric Dentistry,

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.

He received a Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry from Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA and a M.Sc. Degree and PhD in Oral Biology from the University of Athens. Since 2003 he is also working in private practice limited to Paediatric Dentistry. His research interest and work is focused in epidemiology, oral biology, clinical research in healthy and patients with special needs, caries risk assessment, biomaterials, patient behaviour and evidence based clinical guidelines development. He is the President of the Hellenic Society of Paediatric Dentistry, Member of the Constitution Committee of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD), member of the Education Committee of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD). He has participated as a speaker in national and international congresses, has published several articles and he has received international awards for his research work.

Emmanouil Chatzipetros is an Assistant Professor of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology at the School of Dentistry, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). He graduated from the School of Dentistry, NKUA, in 2008 with the grade “Very Good.” In 2015, he completed the Postgraduate Program of Studies in Oral Diagnosis and Radiology at the same School, graduating with the grade “Excellent.” From 2015 to 2016, he attended the Continuing Education Program of the Department of Dentistry, NKUA, on the topic: “Implants: Theoretical and Practical Training.” In 2019, he successfully defended his Doctoral Dissertation at the School of Dentistry, NKUA, obtaining the grade “Excellent.” He has been awarded three scholarships from the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.) during his undergraduate (DDS), postgraduate (MSc), and doctoral (PhD) studies. Ειδικεύθηκε στη Στοματική & Γναθοπροσωπική Χειρουργική στην Πανεπιστημιακή κλινική Στοματικής & Γναθοπροσωπικής χειρουργικής του νοσοκομείου «Ο Ευαγγελισμός». Konstantinos Masouras

He was born and raised in Athens, Greece.

He received his Degree from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

He also received his Master’s Degree in Dental Biomaterials and Clinical Specialty in Operative Dentistry at the same University. He received his PhD in Biomaterials Science and Dental Technology from the Dental School of The University of Manchester, England. Since 2010, he has been serving as a faculty member at the Laboratory of Operative Dentistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, currently holding the position of Assistant Professor.

He participates in the entire range of undergraduate and postgraduate education of students and is active in research in the field of Biomaterials, with an emphasis on the properties of materials and modern technologies. He has participated in numerous presentations in Greece and abroad.

Dr. Aikaterini Petropoulou

graduated from the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2008) and completed the three-year MSc program in Prosthodontics at the same institution.

She earned her doctoral degree (Dr. med. dent.) from the University of Freiburg, Germany (2013). Since then, she has been exclusively practicing Prosthodontics and has served as Research Associate at the Dental School of the University of Athens (2013–2023).

In 2023, she was elected Assistant Professor in Fixed Prosthodontics at the same School. Her research focuses on dental materials, and in 2016 she was recognized as a “Specialist in Prosthodontics” by the European Prosthodontic Association.

Αριστείδης Βίλλιας, DDS, MSc, Dr.Med.Dent.

Επίκουρος Καθηγητής, Τομέας Προσθετολογίας, Οδοντιατρική Σχολή ΕΚΠΑ

Ο Αριστείδης Βίλλιας έλαβε το πτυχίο Οδοντιατρικής του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ) το 2008. Το 2010 ανακηρύχθηκε υπότροφος ΙΚΥ για διδακτορικές σπουδές στον τομέα Προσθετολογίας, του Πανεπιστημίου της Κολωνίας, στη Γερμανία. Το 2014 τιμήθηκε ως Frechette Award Finalist στο Παγκόσμιο Οδοντιατρικό Συνέδριο της IADR. Το 2015 έλαβε τον τίτλο του διδάκτορα οδοντιατρικής. Το 2019 απέκτησε το μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα ειδίκευσης στα Οδοντιατρικά Βιοϋλικά από το τμήμα Οδοντιατρικής του ΕΚΠΑ. Ανδρέας Κροκίδης DDS MSc PhD

Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Ενδοδοντίας, Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών (ΕΚΠΑ)

Ο Ανδρεάς Κροκίδης αποφοίτησε στην Οδοντιατρική από το πανεπιστήμιο της Μπρέσια (Ιταλία) το 2004 και τέλειωσε το μεταπτυχιακό της Ενδοδοντίας στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Βερόνα (Ιταλία) το 2008. Το 2019 εκπόνησε το διδακτορικό του στην Ενδοδοντία στο ΕΚΠΑ. Το 2024 εξελέγη Επίκουρος καθηγητής Ενδοδοντίας στο ΕΚΠΑ.

Το επιστημονικό του έργο περιλαμβάνει δημοσιεύσεις σε διεθνή περιοδικά και βιβλία, ομιλίες σε διεθνή και εθνικά συνέδρια όπως και πρακτικά σεμινάρια διεθνώς.

Είναι τακτικό μέλος της Ελληνικής Ενδοδοντικής Εταιρίας, (ΕΕΕ) , της Ευρωπαϊκής Ενδοδοντικής Εταιρίας (ESE) όπως και international member της Αμερικάνικης Ενδοδοντικής Εταιρίας (AAE).
